Aim of the website

This website derives as a need of the NET Activity “Act locally, think globally: How to build a solidarity project” to provide a thorough overview of what Solidarity Projects are. It aims to picture Solidarity Projects step- by- step supporting newcomers to learn what these projects are and how they can be set up from the idea to action and follow up. This website aims to serve as a guide that will enable any interested group or organization to comprehend the diversity of the needs of a Solidarity Project in order to be qualitatively implemented. 

But, let’s go a step back and make clear what a Solidarity Project is!

A Solidarity Project is a non-profit activity that is initiatied, developed and implemented by young people themselves for a period of 2-12 months. At least 5 young people create and implement a project, an activity that promotes solidarity, addresses key challenges at local level and can bring positive change within the local community while presenting European added value.
